How to Show Your Level

A badge shows your service’s current level wherever you embed it, and links to its public page in Ready. It updates by itself after each evaluation.

  1. Open the service in Ready. In the Public badge panel, select Badge settings.
  2. If the badge is Disabled, switch it to Enabled. Anyone can then see the service’s level without signing in. Badges of services in a private catalogue start disabled.
  3. Choose a style (Tone, Full, Pill, Outline or Scale) and a Dark or Light theme.
  4. Under Embed, copy the snippet for where it goes: Markdown for a README, HTML for a web page, reStructuredText for Sphinx documentation, or the Image URL.

The service needs at least one evaluation first; until then the page says Evaluate the service first.

What the badge says

  • EBRAINS TRL with a level: assessed under the EBRAINS default rubric.
  • TRL with a level: assessed under the organisation’s own rubric. It is not the EBRAINS default.

A level in a README without the word “EBRAINS” is read as a claim against the EBRAINS standard, so keep the label as it is.

The badge stops showing if it is disabled again, or if the service is marked as not operated. To stop sharing the level, switch it back to Disabled.
